Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, 4/3/07. This shot taken near the center of the campus: Founded in 1842 consisting of 1,250 acres w/2 lakes, over 130 bldgs, and student body of 11,400. Undergraduate tuition is $33,407 and room/board averages an additional $8,730.
The Catholic "Basilica of the Sacred Heart" near the center of campus at Notre Dame is over 125 years old.
The "Main Bldg" next to the Basilica houses administration offices & classrooms. The gold dome on top is covered by approx. 1,250 paper-thin strips of 23-karat gold leaf.
This is the front door to the Basilica. Notre Dame is known for it's many enchanting, beautiful doors. Posted by Picasa
